HomeSeekers.com includes in-depth neighborhood statistics, unusual property types and an informative resource center to help with many common real estate needs. However, all around it is a middle of the road online real estate site that frequently found few listings in rural and suburban areas. This site may be better suited for those living in larger cities and densely populated states.

Property Types:  

HomeSeekers.com includes all the usual property types like single family homes, mobile homes and condos, but they also have many unusual choices like commercial, timeshare and lease listings. Although they included so many property type choices, we found their residential results fell considerably short compared to the higher-ranking sites, especially in our suburban searches. This site may be better for those living in larger cities.

Search Features:  

HomeSeekers.com includes all the basic search features including location and zip. You can farther narrow your search by price, beds, bath or MLS number.

Listed Information*:  

We found that most listings included price, address, beds, bath, MLS, age and school details. There is also a description spot to place additional details about the property. We found some listings included more in-depth information than others.

Additional Resources:  

HomeSeekers.com provides a great resource for information about the neighborhood you are looking into. Area facts include demographics, crime, housing, family, education, health, economy and climate statistics. Additionally, the resource center has articles about home buying, lawn care and appliances.

If you register, you can create a portfolio by saving searches and listings. Registration is free, and we did not have third party agents contacting us.

We found some listings included a map, but it was inconsistent.

Summary:  

HomeSeekers.com is a great place to start for those looking for unusual properties such as timeshare. Additionally, it is a good research resource, especially for those interested in neighborhood statistics; however, all around this site is fairly average. Their search features and listed information does not include anything stellar and we had difficulty finding listings in suburban locations.
